Fancy Lainey turns 5!

Our little Lainey Bug turned 5! She picked a "fancy nancy" themed party. It was so much fun for her and me. I somehow didn't end up with a picture of her invitations which were probably the cutest part. They were little purses made out of paper with fancy embellishments Lainey helped me add.

Every guest was greeted with a table of accessories to put on and make themselves fancy! Then they posed in front of the Eiffel Tower for a picture.
The birthday girl chose not to smile for her photo shoot, but she still looks fancy!

Every guest came dressed in their fanciest outfit. We made paper fans, played limbo & made fancy hats.

After having a tea party of pizza, punch and cupcakes, we headed to the backyard for snow cones and dancing.
This is Lainey's latest boyfriend. He was dressed to kill.
And of course, Papa Bob bought Lainey some cowgirl boots for her birthday. She wears them with just about any outfit. They are a total hit.

Lainey loves wearing her cowgirl boots and riding bikes in the cul-de-sac down the street with all the neighbor boys. I was corrected by her when I called the cul-de-sac a "circle".  She is reading anything and everything in sight. She just had Kindergarten testing and she can read at a 1st grade level with 100% accuracy. She loves art projects and just learned to make paper hats. Everyone in our family has several paper hats. She likes gymnastics and soccer and playing with friends. Her dad has taught her to say her prayers in Spanish and she loves learning new Spanish words. She plays so well with her little brother, they are the best of friends. She can snap, whistle, wink and is currently trying to learn how to roll her "r"s.  I can't count all the lip gloss she owns and she loves everything girly.  She is our little princess and is very thoughtful of others. She brings so much happiness to our family. Love you Lainey Bug!

Krew Bear Turns The BIG 3!!!

Krew turned 3 and wanted a star wars birthday. I was surprised because I am pretty sure he has never seen any star wars cartoons and he definitely hasn't seen any real Star Wars movies. I threw together his cake (I know, it's nothing to write home about...but it served it's purpose and it was quick.)

He was given Batman pajamas complete with a cape and he insists on wearing them all the time, not just to bed. This boy LOVES to be in costume. I can't even count how many times we have been out and about and he is in full costume. I actually forget that he is even wearing them until the clerk or a stranger comments on his outfit.  His most frequent costumes are his batman pajamas, cowboy boots and hat, & his superman costume. If he is not in costume he insists on wearing athletic clothes. He is very particular about what shirt goes with what shorts. He is a boy who lives for comfort (I can relate).

He got his first gun that actually shoots something. He has been shooting nerf bullets everywhere. Some cousins gave him Imaginext toys....nothing beats 'em. They are by far his favorite toys. He also loves his Captain America figure with the motorcycle.
Krew is a total boy. He is always making some sort of noise, loves to play rough, always chasing people, and keeping us laughing all the time. He is also very sweet and cuddly. He tries really hard to be a big boy. He likes to eat salad and will refuse sweets if he has had enough.
He couldn't ever make the "K" and "G" noises so instead they were substituted with the "T".  I had a hard time deciding if he was saying tractor or cracker because they both came out "tratter". Unfortunately all kids do grow up and he started saying his sounds correctly right around his birthday. He is such a joy in our family and I can never kiss him enough. Happy Birthday big guy.

Easter Sunday

Snow is Falling

Ho Ho Ho

I only snapped a few pictures on Christmas day because I was using the video camera. Considering it's August already I just decided to toss them on the ol' blog for memories sake. Krew bear was totally sick with a cough that wouldn't stop and two ear infections. Poor baby. He still had tons of fun. Lainey wrote her own letter to Santa and asked for a Guitar and Krew asked for tools. It was a nice Christmas.  It's so fun to see the babies filled with excitement about Santa coming. Merry Christmas!

Disneyland #4

Lainey is the coolest 4 year old at Disneyland. See her arms up in the air?
We caught the Christmas parade, these guys had really cool costumes. They really play those trumpets through tiny mouth holes. And their boots were so cool.
Krew and Mommy were a little grumpy.

I would like to buy those toys!
The Little Mermaid ride. Super cool.

We finally caught Its a Small World ride without a long line. I can't believe how much they change everything for Christmas.

Krew and Mom dancing because we are so happy to be in Disneyland!

 The whole Goof Troop!

Thank you Disneyland for a magical experience for kids and parents. Our hearts smile when we think about our trip and all the magical fun we had. Anybody want to sign up for Disneyland 2013?
